Rushing River Provincial Park to Thunder Bay

Got an earlier start then we intended. I thought all of Ontario was on Eastern daylight time, but west of Thunder Bay is on Central time. The scenery was scenic leaving Rushing River, lots of rivers, lakes, and granite. More agriculture around Dryden, but you always know you are on the Shield. Had a lunch stop at Ignace - armpit of town but a nice rest stop. It had nice picnic area and playground and play area for the kids. Unfortunately it was raining so we had to eat in the trailer.

The drive from Ignace to Shabaqua Falls was dull dull dull - swamp and firs. I read and napped through all of it.

Arrived in Thunder Bay in late afternoon. We're staying at with my mom's cousin, just on the outskirts of town. We had a great supper - the girls picked they're own carrots out of the garden.

To get ready for bed, the girls had their first bath in 5 weeks. It was a jacuzzi tub - they had bubbles and were allowed to turn on the jets - so they had a blast. You wouldn't believe the dirt left on the bottom of the tub. Unless you've camped with young children, then you can imagine it!
